Master the fundamentals · IKO Level 1–2
A complete two-day beginner course. Six hours across two sessions gives you time to lock in the fundamentals and start producing real power with the kite — the natural next step after our Discovery lesson.
Two days is where things really start to click. Day one covers spot assessment, kit set-up, kite control, safety systems and your first water skills. Day two brings power — body drags, staying independent with the kite and, if the wind cooperates, your first water starts.
The second session is your chance to put day one into practice. You'll learn how to safely produce and manage kite power, drag yourself upwind, and start to feel what the sport is really about.
At the end of the course your coach walks you through where you are, what to focus on next, and how to keep progressing — whether that's more coaching, our Refresher hours or moving straight into supervised rental.
Maximum 2:1 ratios and modern North and Mystic gear across the full quiver — the right kite for the wind on the day. Wetsuits, harnesses, helmets and impact vests are all included and matched to your size.
Levels covered: IKO L1 Discovery and part L2 Intermediate (progression-dependent).
