The destination

Why My Hoa?

My Hoa is one of Vietnam's most distinctive kitesurfing locations. Set just outside Phan Rang City, the spot combines an ideal training environment with powerful conditions for advanced riding, all surrounded by some of the country's most dramatic natural scenery.

Directly in front of Sorrento Beach Club is a tidal lagoon, creating an excellent environment for learning, coaching and instructor training. As the tide fills, the lagoon provides shallow, clear and controlled water conditions that are particularly well suited to practical teaching exercises, body drags, waterstarts and rider development.

Around 600 metres offshore, the lagoon gives way to a reef break. Here, experienced riders can enjoy completely different conditions, from big-air sessions and powerful jumping to directional riding and high-quality wave conditions. This combination of sheltered lagoon and offshore reef makes My Hoa unusually versatile.

Wind and season

Reliable winter wind.

The main kitesurfing season runs from the beginning of December through to the end of March, when My Hoa benefits from very consistent seasonal wind.

Typical wind speeds are around 20–35 knots, with windy days occurring very frequently throughout the season. This consistency makes the location particularly valuable for professional training, where reliable water time is essential.
