Festival Wakeboard Cable Park has Arrived in Essex, A Perfect New Playground for all Kitesurfers. Park Offering 2 Cable Systems, Kickers/Sliders & a Shop
It’s about time we had a nearby wakeboard park for us to unleash some energy on those no wind days, and now we have one in Essex!!! For those who have never tried wakeboarding, you should. It’s the perfect sport to enter if your already kitesurfing or if you’re looking to start kitesurfing. Although you’re not harnessed into a kite with wakeboarding the skills involved with balance, coordination and the board start theory are very similar.
Festival Wakeboard Park is a brand new Cable Wakeboarding facility in Basildon Essex. The site will offer a 660 metre 5 pylon Rixen cable tow system together with a 175 metre Sesitec System 2.0 straight line cable complete with state of the art kickers and sliders. The site will offer a Pro Shop, showers and changing facilities.
The park is adjacent to Festival Leisure Park aka ‘Bas Vegas” with its restaurants, night clubs, hotels, bowling alley, and a multiplex cinema.
Zenith Kiting and friends will be making regular trips to the park to improve on our skills to get closer to nailing those BIG tricks. We will be organising group days, so anyone is welcome. The Grand Opening Weekend will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend May 5th, 6th and 7th. They will have Pro-Rider demonstrations and entertainment on site.
